info_outline Description
The field of computer science is a hub of innovation where technological monitoring plays a significant role. AEDI organizes 3 conferences throughout the year to allow students to explore or deepen their knowledge about topics related to computer engineering that are not covered in the curriculum.
The speakers at these conferences are engineers from well-known companies. They present the technologies or concepts they work with on a daily basis. These events also provide companies with an opportunity to introduce themselves to the students.
Held on Thursday mornings, interested students voluntarily attend the conference and are then invited to engage informally with the speakers, usually around the buffet that follows the presentation. This provides an opportunity for both parties to connect. -

Organization
For the year 2024/2025, the thematic mornings will take place the following Thursday mornings: November 21st 2024, January 23rd 2025, March 20th 2025 and April 17th 2025.
AEDI handles the logistics and communication with the students. We invite companies interested in these events to submit one or more proposals for presentations. A survey distributed to the Department's students determines the topics to be covered throughout the year.attach_money
Pricing
A company's participation in these conferences is free of charge. The company commits to participating in a given conference by signing a confirmation agreement.

Proceedings
Throughout the morning, three or four presentations follow one another. Centered around a common theme but addressing the topic from different perspectives, this conference allows students to deepen their understanding of the subject and its implications for computer engineers.
Each presentation lasts about twenty minutes and is followed by a period of interaction with the audience. Aiming to enrich the participants' knowledge, it is appreciated if the technical aspect of the topic is addressed.
While these conferences can provide an opportunity for companies to increase their visibility, it is not a morning where each speaker presents their company for recruitment purposes. We invite the speakers to give a brief presentation of their company (less than 5 minutes) at the beginning of their speaking time. The buffet at the end of the morning is a time for networking, during which we offer companies the chance to set up a booth to showcase their promotional items and presentation materials.perm_contact_calendar

info_outline Presentation
The objective of sponsorship is to establish a privileged relationship between a company and students of the IT Department through mutual commitments. The sponsorship charter serves as a foundation to develop, strengthen, and sustain connections between the academic and corporate worlds. Each year, the incoming class at the IT Department (3IF – First year of the Engineering cycle) has the opportunity to be sponsored by a company throughout its three years of the advanced cycle.
In exchange for ensured presence and visibility within the Department and AEDI events, the sponsoring company commits to co-organizing special events for students (conferences, orientation weekends, after-work gatherings...) and providing them with internship and job opportunities. This sponsorship is a mutually beneficial arrangement that helps students develop their commitment, professionalism, and sense of responsibility. It also offers the sponsor a platform to communicate its values and ambitions. -
